美國政府消息人士表示，美國國務卿凱瑞(John Kerry)預料將在美東時間今天(30日)中午12時30分(台灣時間明天凌晨零時30分)發表聲明。

美國正仔細考慮採取軍事行動，以懲處敘利亞總統巴夏爾(Bashar al-Assad)的政府，因為他們顯然動用毒氣攻擊自己的人民。

不過，英國國會下議院昨天否決對敘利亞動武，減緩了美國採取決定性攻擊的動能。
