運輸機爆胎 二百多英軍滯留中東48小時 等輪胎

英國一批趕著回家的軍人，因為運輸機輪胎爆胎，在阿拉伯聯合大公國一處基地，苦等了兩天，等由英國派去的技師換上輪胎，才能回家和家人團聚。

五年前，英國購買了一批軍用的空中巴士A330兩百型客機。當時英國政府和廠商簽約，買飛機的錢分二十七年攤還，不過，飛機維修都必須由英國的技師負責。

兩百多名在阿富汗駐防了半年的英軍，輪調回國。他們搭乘運輸機回國，途中在阿拉伯聯合大公國休息。飛機在跑道再起飛的時候，撞到一隻鳥，一個輪胎被撞破，飛機無法起飛。

機長希望跟附近國際機場借調一個同型輪胎。不過，英國國防部認為，這樣做會違約。堅持要從英國派人帶著輪胎去換。

兩百多名英軍只好在基地等。由於沒有地方睡覺，只能在基地的臨時營房睡了兩晚。當地氣溫高達攝氏四十一度。不少官兵十分不滿。
