統一獅甫在下半季封王，球員也包辦10月MVP，投手是拿下2勝、防禦率1.29的費古洛(Nelson Figueroa)，打者則是單月打擊率高達5成45的林志祥，林志祥在季末大爆發，他表示，心態改變是最大關鍵。

林志祥下半季曾因左肩、腰部不適下二軍休養，9月26日歸隊代打就建功，從26日起的13戰32個打數敲出17支安打，包括1發滿貫砲，打擊高達5成31，獅隊季末戰績長紅，林志祥功不可沒。

林志祥提到，上半季與義大犀牛爭冠，戰局緊繃，主力球員難免疲累，自己在下二軍這段時間除了維持手感，也思考很多，「之前很容易想太多，擔心打不好，後來想通了，乾脆放開去打，豁出去的想法，反而打起來沒有負擔。」

林志祥今年出賽99場，敲出108支安打，打下50分打點，打擊率3成08，其中安打、打點、打擊率都是加入職棒3年來最佳，面對即將26日開打的總冠軍賽，林志祥表示，希望能延續季末的好手感，一路帶到總冠軍賽。
