逾4千昆蟲收藏 美男子贈予哥斯大黎加

美國生物學家惠登(Richard Whitten)把他花了62年蒐集、總數逾4千隻的昆蟲收藏，贈予哥斯大黎加。

惠登的收藏包括大型蠍子、狼蛛、蚱蜢、蝴蝶、甲蟲以及其它各類型的昆蟲。他把它們全數捐給哥斯大黎加大學，並已經在這個星期對外展出。

惠登和妻子在哥斯大黎加居住了16年，最近他們將返回美國。有多所美國大學都曾表示，希望接手收藏這些昆蟲。不過惠登最後決定捐給哥斯大黎加大學，理由這所大學承諾將永久保存。

惠登不捨的表示，捐出這些收藏就如同拋下自己的孩子。

收藏家兼生物學家墨里諾(Ricardo Murillo)表示，惠登的收藏是「無價之寶」。
