用掃把扣板機　鬱男持獵槍自殺

萬榮鄉西林村1名67歲邱姓男子，今天下午被發現在自家工寮，右胸前滿是鋼珠彈孔，雖經送醫但仍因失血過多不治。警方於案發初期認為身形矮小的邱男，無法同時用槍抵住胸口並扣動板機，仍對死因保持懷疑。後經現場模擬，研判邱男​將2米獵槍對準胸口，再用掃柄輔助扣動板機自殺身亡。

死者家屬向警方表示，邱男平時種檳榔、養山豬維生，6年前罹患憂鬱症後病情無起色，親哥哥上周去世後病情加劇，懷疑是因此才想不開。

警方調查，由於身高僅165公分的抑鬱男手不夠長，還拿掃把柄輔助扣板機開槍自殺，死者妻子事後到工寮餵豬，見丈夫遺體數度痛哭昏厥，直說：「太想不開，放我一個人怎麼辦？」（王文傑／花蓮報導）
