總統馬英九今抵達友邦聖多美普林西比後，與聖國總統賓多會晤。會後馬總統在記者會上表示，我國計劃協助聖國設立第二所國立高中和一所門診為主的專科醫院與洗腎中心，還有協助聖國發展地理資訊中心和服務業等項目。

馬總統說，兩國在今年三月將成立混合委員會，統籌雙方合作有關事項，賓多總統提到的構想，都可以在這委員會提出來，達成共識。賓多總統則說，相信馬總統此次訪問可以開啟兩國一個新的合作關係。（陳郁仁／聖多美報導）
