英國一名16歲少年日前成為世界上徒步至南極最年輕的人。他在溫度最低零下50攝氏度，風速最高每小時193公里的環境下徒步旅行了48天。

中國廣播網據英國廣播公司(BBC)報導，這位名叫路易斯·克拉克的少年來自英國西部的布里斯托爾，他從南極大陸沿岸開始一共走了1123公里，在1月18日晚間6點到達英國的阿蒙森·史考特南極考察站。他現在將向金氏世界紀錄機構提交證據，以獲得正式確認他創下的紀錄。

他在抵達終點的時候說：『我感到非常高興，同時也鬆了一口氣，48天之後，我終於不必擔心明早起床要拖著我的雪橇在風雪裡走9個小時的路。』

克拉克在12月2日開始這趟旅程，當時他剛過完16歲生日兩個星期。期間，陪伴他的是經驗豐富的南極向導卡爾·阿維。
