美房市續強 消費信心挫

美國去年12月新屋開工維持強勁，顯示房市能挺得住利率微升的衝擊；12月工業生產連續第五個月攀升，但1月密大消費者信心指數下滑，反映中低收入戶對經濟感到悲觀。

商務部17日公布，12月新屋開工下跌9.8%，經季節調整後年率為99.9萬戶，但高於夏季的平均水準，也超越經濟學家預估的97.5萬戶。營建許可下滑3%至98.6萬戶，連續第二個月走跌。

綜觀2013年，新屋開工比前年攀升18.3%至92.3萬戶，寫下2007年以來最佳表現。營建許可年增17.5%至97.5萬戶，也是2007年至今最優。

德意志銀行證券經濟學家萊恩說：「只要就業市場持續進步，房市交易與建案也將持續攀升。」

聯準會（Fed）公布，12月工業生產經季節調整後較上月增長0.3%，符合市場預期。12月產能利用率升高0.1個百分點至79.2%，略優於市場預測。

同日公布的1月湯森路透／密西根大學消費者信心初估值跌到80.4，低於去年12月的82.5。市場原估會攀抵83.5。
