進入 2014 年已經有半個月時間，各大分析機構也逐漸發布了對新一年的預測報告。根據一則最新的預測，2014 年全球智慧手機出貨量將會達到 12.4 億台，蘋果、三星電子、LG、索尼、聯想將成為 2014 年智慧手機廠商(按出貨量)Top 5。就蘋果而言，該公司的 iPhone 銷量將會比 2013 年多上一倍。

根據威鋒網報導，分析稱，iPhone 能夠在 2014 年實現出貨量翻倍主要來自大陸和日本兩個地區的消費需求。因為蘋果先後與日本和大陸的最大的電信運營商進行合作，其潛在用戶超過 8 億名——其中中國移動旗下訂閱用戶超過 7.5 億名，日本 NTT DoCoMo 旗下訂閱用戶超過 6000 萬名。

除了預測蘋果之外，分析報告還指出了三星電子在 2014 年智慧手機領域的趨勢：三星手機的出貨量增長將會在今年受阻，因為 iPhone 將會在美國、大陸和日本等越來越普及，而三星的 2013 年第四季度財報也顯示了他們正在智慧手機領域逐漸失去市場。
